Consultant Clinical Psychologist: Expert Witness and Therapy Services

I'm a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 30+ years of clinical experience in adult mental health. with special expertise in trauma, shame and severe and complex difficulties. I've worked as an NHS psychologist in adult mental health services for over 20 years, qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2003, and then left the NHS in 2018 to lead my private psychology practice. I have extensive experience working across all sectors of adult mental health services latterly as a Consultant lead for Inpatient and Recovery. My career spans the whole mental health pathway, working with people who self refer and Primary care, upto Community Mental Health Teams, Inpatient hospital wards, Community Recovery Services and specialist Psychosis services.

I provide independent Expert‑Witness Psychologist opinion for Civil Litigation cases and provide high quality, court compliant condition and prognosis reports for personal injury and clinical negligence cases. I am recognised by APIL as an Expert Witness and am a member of the Expert Witness Institute. I have the Cardiff University Bond Solon Certificate in Civil Litigation. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).I'm the author of a number of academic publications in the field of Compassion Focused Therapy.

I offer Therapy Services and work with people who’ve been through tough or traumatic experiences, I use evidence‑based therapies such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to conceptualise difficulties, learn new skills, strengthen confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also offer Staff Wellbeing for organisations.
